Lesson 7: Using Images and Videos in Your Site |

It's been proven time and again that new visitors to your site make a decision within just a few seconds as to whether they're going to stick around or leave. Images are known to both: a) draw people's attention to them, and b) make your site look more professional (thus getting visitors to stick around for another few seconds--hopefully long enough to start reading your content). Videos and images can be used to simply liven up your site and provide a little divisersity in the format of the content. And clearly there are many situations in which it just makes sense to convey an idea with an image or a video rather than trying to explain it with text. |
